A number of serious books and articles about super conscious and psychic kids and have been written. This includes Indigo Children, who are believed to possess special psychic and spiritual awarenesses and abilities. The Indigo Children concept is based on ideas first put forth in the 1970s by Nancy Ann Tappe, which were then further developed by Lee Carroll and Jan Tober.
However, many current mainstream references to highly conscious or psychic kids make it sound like elaborate X-Men or Supergirl sorts of fantasy powers are being bogusly attributed to ordinary kids. This lesson offers a more realistic view about how consciousness has shifted, and grown, over the last half century or so, and also offers information on how to support a young friend or family member with unique awareness.
